Damask Resource Library Wallpaper Book by York Wallcoverings offers traditional to contemporary damask designs in small to extra large scales. Damask originally referred to a type of fabric on which designs were printed, but over the years the name damask has become synonymous with scrolling floral motifs. From archival to entirely new interpretations, this collection of wallpapers rings true to the York aesthetic of timeless design.
Large scale patterns are on the rise along with ceiling heights. French Artichoke Damask Wallpaper was inspired by an 1850 fabric with its large blooming artichokes and garlands in a palette of blue, beige, yellow, green, pale blue and gold. Tudor Diamond Damask Wall Covering has a casual ombre finish with a diamond garland and damask in black, navy, linen and grey. Pineapple Plantation Damask Wallcovering creates a giant lattice frame around a pineapple damask and comes in sea blue, taupe, gold, periwinkle, charcoal, and green. Gatsby Damask Wallpaper is a fluid Art Nouveau with floral medallions available in grey, black, beige, navy, and sky. Egret Damask Wall Covering surrounds a pair of egrets with foliage for a contemporary Art Nouveau pattern in sky, sage, taupe, black and neutral. Modern Ombre Damask Wallcovering is more of a trellis with an arabesque flair in a palette of neutral, clay, blue, and beige. The grandest of them all is the Jaipur Paisley Damask Mural that comes in beige, indigo or black.
Medium and smaller scale patterns can be used anywhere. Cathedral Damask Wallpaper focuses on architectural details seen in most European cathedrals and comes in tone on tone colors of white, blue, taupe, gold, grey and dark blue. Signet Medallion Damask Wall Covering is an eastern inspired dimensional damask in coral, green, beige, grey, blue and dark blue. Palmetto Palm Damask Wallcovering comes from the archives and is appropriately printed on a paperweave in hues of green, blue, beige and black. Adirondack Damask Wallpaper marries the popular woodland leaf motifs with an ogee frame and comes in grey, beige, clay, blue, green and black. Imperial Damask Wall Covering applies the regal motif of what could be a royal china pattern to a wallpaper available in white, silver, linen, mink, and navy. Shell Damask Wallcovering has a distinctly Art Deco flair using a palette of sage, blue, grey, pearl, and black. Petite Ogee Damask Wallpaper is a pretty, small scale pattern with a petite damask inside a ribbon like ogee in navy, taupe, sky, beige, sage and yellow. Royal Fern Damask Wall Covering forms a tropical damask of fern branches and fronds in green, beige, blue, and eucalyptus.
